The Fulbright Program in Poland is one of the largest in Eastern and Central Europe. The Program was initiated in 1959.

On June 24, 2016 we bid farewell to American graduates of the Fulbright Program in Poland. This year, fifty U.S. grantees worked at various universities throughout our country. Prof. Danuta Hübner
Polish economist and politician, former Minister for European Affairs in the government of Leszek Miller and former head of the Office of the Committee for European Integration, and the first Polish Commissioner in the European Union (Regional Policy). In 1988-1990, Professor Hübner was Fulbright scholar at the University of California-Berkeley, and was a visiting scholar at the Centre for European Studies at the University of Sussex. She has lectured at California State University in San José and was on scholarship at Universidad Autonoma Madrid.

Dr. Henryka Bochniarz
Polish economist, former Minister of Industry and Trade, founder and head of the Polish Confederation of Private Employers ‘Lewiatan’ (the largest organization of private sector employers in Poland) and president for Central and Eastern Europe Region of Boeing International Co. She was awarded with the Fulbright scholarship and spent two years doing research and teaching at the University of Minnesota (1985-87)
