Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan is the major academic institution in Poznan and one of the top Polish universities. The University was founded in 1919 and currently its student population is nearly 49 000 students (over 1000 are international students).
Campus Morasko consists of Faculty of Faculty of Physics (the oldest faculty in the campus), faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, Faculty of Biology, Chemistry,History, Political Science and Journalism and Faculty of Geographical and Geological Sciences.

Poznan University of Technology (PUT) grew out of the State School of Engineering which was established in 1919. Our University currently with its about 21 thousand students and more than 11 hundred academic staff, is one of the leading technical universities in Poland. It has become one of the most recognized landmarks of the Wielkopolska region, where industry is perfectly combined with education and culture. Our motto “Technology in a Positive Climate” gives an idea of the university’s great concern for its students. We focus on the needs of young people whom we know the future belongs to. This encouraging conviction continuously inspires us to work even harder.
Currently PUT offers education at 10 faculties, which altogether provide 28 fields of study. Poznan University of Technology constitutes an important center of scientific research too. From year to year, the share in the resources allocated for research is bigger and bigger. The academic staff is its strong point. Their scientific research and publications constitute an important input to modern technical sciences.
